Helen F. Graham Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-selected community cancer center. U.S. News & World Report gives its highest grade to the center for use of advanced technologies — including the CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System and the da Vinci Robotic Surgery System — and for providing patients the most important types of cancer services. This is one of only a handful of non-university centers in the U.S. operating a tissue bank program in which cancer samples are collected directly from patients, cataloged, and then made available to researchers for translational studies leading, hopefully, to potential therapies. Graham reports that exceptionally high numbers of its patients enroll in clinical trials.
