iWalk4MESO Is a Good Way to Spend Mesothelioma Awareness Day

One of the best things you can do on Mesothelioma Awareness Day is slip into your most comfortable shoes and participate in a nationwide Virtual Race called iWalk4MESO. You don’t have to walk for long or far to join in.

iWalk4MESO was started by Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. and is an important but simple way to spread the word about mesothelioma. It’s a great way to help raise funds for mesothelioma research — to work toward a cure for this terrible cancer.

Join in for the iWalk4Meso Virtual Race

iWalk4MESO is set for Monday, Sept. 26 — Mesothelioma Awareness Day. You can help make iWalk4MESO a gigantic success.

Taking part in it is very simple. How far you walk or run is entirely up to you. You can choose to go five miles, five blocks, or five steps.

Then take a picture of yourself and anyone who walked or ran with you holding this sign that you can print out from goo.gl/O6IVab, or create your own.

After you snap the picture, upload it to your Facebook page. When you do, please add the hashtags #iWalk4MESO, #MesotheliomaAwarenessDay and #EndMeso.

Then upload the picture to the official iWalk4MESO Facebook page. For every post, Weitz & Luxenberg will make a donation to the Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) on your behalf.

The Ultimate Prize is a Mesothelioma Cure

Next, send a Facebook message or an email to three people you know. Tell them you’re challenging them to do what you just did — walk or run, take a photo while holding the iWalk4Meso sign, and then upload it.

Be sure to tell them that they each have to then challenge three new people afterward.

You can watch a YouTube video giving more information about Weitz & Luxenberg’s iWalk4MESO Virtual Race:

In addition to the donation Weitz & Luxenberg will make for your Facebook post, you can also make a personal donation at http://because.massgeneral.org/iWalk4MESO.

They’re doing some truly pioneering research at Mass General. Your donation can be as little as $1. There is no upper limit to what you can give. Any amount that you donate will be greatly appreciated.

If you can’t give anything, that’s OK too. Your participation in iWalk4MESO is a tremendous gift in and of itself.

Helping make the world more aware of mesothelioma — and the need to cure it — is a contribution you’ll be proud to make.
